The Scatterbrained Syncretist
Hi. This story is a work of fiction. Since it is exploring the relationships between different events and ideas and the way people create networks to communicate, it is natural to structure the narrative as a tree with hyperlinks. This allows the reader to choose his own path through The Scatterbrained Syncretist. While some of the footnotes are merely "additional information", others lead to extended discussions of an unpredictable range of subjects. So, although you should find your own path through this text, it won't make much sense if the reader doesn't discover the footnotes.
Perhaps, if you view this as more akin to a game than a novel, you'll be rewarded.
The composition of this work is a continuous process. Sometimes new material is added at the end (you know...getting longer) and other times additions are made to the branching footnotes (getting wider).
