Although
the events and conversations in The Scatterbrained Syncretist are all transcribed
from real life as accurately as possible, the fact that some things are selected
and others excluded, results in an image of things that is an artificial construction
that is deliberately inherently untrue.
Aesthetic
purposes may in some ways encapsulate some kind of "higher truth" but
in other ways are a kind of falsification.
This
story is an image, a perception of the world...not a description of things as
they are.
