cloudcuckooland

In Aristophanes' The Birds, a couple of ne'er-do-wells persuade the birds to build a city in the clouds. They plan to intercept the smoke rising from the sacrifices to the gods and hold the gods and men hostage. They call this city cloudcuckooland. The closest modern analogy to this city in the clouds is the internet. I find that subversive satire irresistible.
